The Glowstar Fern is also referred to as Pellaea Paradoxa. Forested areas are the natural habitat of the plants. There they grow in the shade of tall trees, away from the direct rays of the sun.
Given their original sheltered habitat, Glowstar Ferns are best kept away from direct sunlight in your home as well. Keep the plants moist by watering them slightly twice a week, along the side of the plant. This helps prevent brown leaves and a bald centre. This fern requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between waterings.
It is also a good idea to spray the plants regularly.
The Glowstar Fern will typically stay under 6 in. (15 cm) in height. This small fern was first found in Eastern Australia. It will thrives outdoors in semi shaded areas where it can creep among rocks to from colonies. This is an easily grown species, although it may take some time to settle after disturbance. Prefers acid, humus-rich soil. It is also suitable indoors in a small container and will be a lovely addition to any home or office.
