CALATHEA

Snake plant, or Sansevieria is one of the best plants for beginners. Easy to grow and hard to kill, it can be grown in low light and can be watered infrequently. Snake plants remove toxins from the air making it a perfect houseplant for beginners.

The Gerbera Daisy is native to South Africa, and needs direct sunlight. Moist soil is needed with average temperatures.

PEPEROMIA

 Peperomia is a small striking houseplant that is available in different colors and shapes. They prefer to be kept out of direct sunlight and don't need a ton of watering to stay happy.

ORCHID

Few plants lend as elegant an air as an orchid. Luckily, you can add one to your home without posing a threat to your pets. With proper care, orchids can last up to four months. They do best in partial light. Water once a week during the winter, and twice a week in hotter months.

FERN

Certain ferns can be toxic, but a Boston Fern is a great choice. This plant prefers filtered light and high humidity levels.

PALM

This beautiful houseplant prefers humidity and bright, indirect light but will tolerate drier, low-light conditions. Also, a great low maintenance plant.

SPIDER PLANT

This plant is easy to grow indoors and incredibly resilient (yes, even to your black thumb!). Spider plants are also great air-purifiers, so they can help get rid of your home’s toxins.

SUCCULENT

Add some pet-friendly succulents, like Haworthia, Echeveria, or a group of air plants, to your countertop and you’re golden. This excludes the string family of succulents.
